Poetry in P2c

Primary 2c have been learning about poetry this term. They have been using adjectives and similes in their descriptive poems. They have been learning that poems have different styles and rhythms. Some children have chosen to use a rhyming technique and others chose a repetitive style but either way we are very impressed with the results! Here is a sample of their work for you to enjoy!

The Snow by a talented writer in P2c

It looked like glistening, shining diamonds

It looked like a fluffy white blanket

It looked like fresh white paint

It smelled like flowers

It felt soft like a teddy bear.

My Parrot by a talented writer in P2c

My parrot’s name is Fluffy

He is always very huffy

He is as fluffy as a sheep

I love hugging him when he sleeps.

My Parrot by a talented writer in P2c

My parrot’s name is Molly

She is always very jolly

She is as tall as a giraffe

She always makes me laugh!

My Dog by a talented writer in P2c

My dog’s name is Riley

He is always very smiley

He is as cute as a bunny

I think he is so funny!
