We were so lucky to have Mr John Swinney as our Reading Champion this year at World Book Day.
Mr Swinney read to us from his favourite book “George’s Marvellous Medicine” by R. Dahl.
He talked to us about how he loves to read on his own and with his children, how important reading was for university when he studied politics and for his job today.
Some children from the World Book Day committee met with Mr Swinney and chatted to him about all the things we do in school for reading. They showed him the big books we created for Book Week.
