The Garnetbank Way
At Garnetbank Primary, our staff, children, families and partners
have worked together to refresh our curriculum rationale and create The Garnetbank Way, a shared vision that reflects who we are and what we value as a school community.
At the heart of The Garnetbank Way is our ambition that:
Every child belongs
Every child learns
Every child flourishes
It reflects our commitment to positive relationships, inclusion, children’s rights, play-based learning and high-quality teaching.
This year, you will see three new displays around the school:
The Garnetbank Way
The Garnetbank Good Lesson
The Garnetbank Learner
Together, these help children understand our values, what effective learning looks like and the attitudes and skills that support success. Through weekly learning focuses, children will develop a shared language around learning, effort and achievement, alongside our continued emphasis on wellbeing, school values, meta-skills and our Language of the Month.

Our New School Library
Welcome to our new School Library!
Please watch this new video tour of our library…..
Our team of Junior Librarians have been working hard in our new library space.
This week we were exploring and organising lots of new non-fiction books. We created a new display area to help our friends find a book easily.
At assembly we will be reminding everyone how to use the number system to find non-fiction books by their topic/ subject.
