Transition to Primary Programme
As we head into the final week of our ‘Transition to Primary School Programme’, we would like to thank you all for taking part. We hope you would agree, it’s been a huge success. After such an abrupt end to nursery back in March, we were delighted to see so many of our pre-school children return to participate in these sessions. Careful preparation and planning ensured we could provide a safe learning environment, to which the children, thankfully sailed back into without a hitch! It has been so beneficial for the children to spend some additional time with peers they will be attending Primary School with. We are hoping to compile a video/photos to upload for you to access soon. As ever any feedback is gratefully received, so please feel free to speak with staff, or drop us an email. Â

Cloverbank transition programme
‘Curriculum for Excellence (2007) gives prominence to play, particularly across the early level and the transition from Early Learning and Childcare and primary school’.
The Scottish Government, (2020) Realising The Ambition
We are absolutely delighted to be able to offer a transition programme for the children who attended Cloverbank Nursery and are now preparing to move on to primary school.
Children will be working on experiences based around the context of ‘Handas Surprise’ which was always the intention, pre lockdown. Children will be grouped with their peers attending the same primary school to reform/begin to form familiar friendship groups.
We have made attempts to contact all pre-school families, however if we were unable to speak with you please contact us on:
