  1. We will start to look at Wilfred Owen’s poetry this week . Good preparation for this is researching the 1WW. (1914-18)

  2. I have added the powerpoint with the notes on ‘Exposure’ at the top of the resources above. Homework is to anlayse the last three stanzas of the poem in preparation for discussion tomorrow. Also, those who have still not handed in their close reading homework need to give it to me tomorrow.

  3. Homework for Wednesday: To answer the question from the 2011 Higher paper:

    ‘Choose a poem in which either nature or time is presented as a destructive force.
    Discuss how effectively the poet presents nature or time in this way.’
