Carmyle Primary School and Nursery Class

Enrolement

Registration of Primary 1 children takes place in November and January.

Parents are asked to register their child for education on-line using www.glasgow.gov.uk from November 2018. Any parent who does not have access to the internet can request a paper copy by calling 0141 641 2269. Further information is available using the following link.

Please remember that if you need transport or free meals or indeed a clothing grant, then applications should be made for these things in plenty of time.  If you do not live in the catchment area of the school, you can still apply for transport although you have to follow a different process and you would actually be applying for a privileged place as there is no definite entitlement. Clothing grant, transport and free meals application forms can be collected from school.
Placing Requests
Those of you who do not live in the catchment but wish to attend Carmyle Primary should hear by April at the very latest next year.  Please let us know as soon as you hear anything so that we can make sure your child is included in our nursery to school induction process.
There will be an opportunity for pupils and their parents to visit the school in the summer term prior to their entry to school. This should help to inform parents about some of the teaching and learning strategies which the school will be adopting and ways in which, as parents, they can best support their child in their first years of primary school education.
