Everyone’s A Leader in Camstradden!

Leadership at Camstradden!

At Camstradden, all children from Primary 2 upwards get the chance to join one of our exciting Leadership Groups. On the first Friday of every month, these groups meet to share ideas and help make our school an even better place.

So next time it’s the first Friday of the month, keep an eye out for:

  • The Clean Corridor Gang checking that our cloakrooms are tidy,

  • The Litter Gang helping Frankie with litter picks,

  • The Language Ambassadors making sure every child’s voice is heard – in lots of different languages,

  • The Library Taskforce keeping our library neat and organised,

  • …and many more brilliant groups!

We’re excited for our Primary 1 pupils to join the groups later in the year.
At Camstradden, everyone can make a difference!

Acorn Base

Fun with Senses in the Acorn Base!

The Acorn Base loves doing lots of sensory work and sensory play! These activities help pupils learn new words, build new skills, and—best of all—they’re super fun.

Here’s a little snapshot of all the exciting things that have been happening recently!

Electives: Game Makers

Our Game-Making Club has been hard at work!

The children have been incredibly busy over the past few weeks. They started by talking together about all the materials they might need for their creations. After that, they sketched out their own game designs and shared their ideas with each other.

Now they’re using a wide range of materials to bring those designs to life! We’re so excited to see the finished games — and we can’t wait to have a go ourselves!

Everyone is a leader in Camstradden!

Once a month, our pupils have the chance to become leaders and take part in important decision-making across the school. Our leadership groups include Language Ambassadors, Lunch Champions, the Clean Corridor Gang, Junior Road Safety Officers, and many more! These groups give every child the opportunity to share their ideas, have their voice heard, and play an active role in shaping life at Camstradden.

Electives

Every Friday afternoon, pupils from Primary 2 to Primary 7 take part in our exciting Electives programme. The children have the opportunity to choose an activity that interests them and enjoy working alongside friends from other classes. Check back soon for some pictures of the amazing activities on offer!
