As part of their topic on Natural Disasters, the children in P5 have been learning all about volcanoes and how they erupt.
To bring their learning to life, the children designed and created their very own paper mâché volcanoes. They enjoyed getting creative and watching their ideas take shape as they built and decorated their models.
The children also developed their procedural writing skills by writing out each step of the process. This helped them to think carefully about the order of events and use clear, precise instructions.
It was fantastic to see the children combining their science, literacy and creative skills while learning more about one of nature’s most fascinating disasters! 🌋
