In maths we moved onto our next topic of ‘measurement.’  We had discussions in the class about where we might use measurement and what type of tools we might use to measure the lengths, widths, breadths, and heights of things.  There were lots of ideas such as; rulers, measuring tapes, metre sticks and trundle wheels.  Everybody in the class was able to say what tool was the most appropriate tool for measuring particular objects.   So, Miss Li asked us to select an appropriate tool to measure each other – the unanimous vote was for “the measuring tape” from Ikea. Firstly, we estimated our partner’s heights, then we accurately measured our partners, and then found the difference between our estimates and accurate measurements to see who managed to make the closest guess!
