Sponsored Run!

On Thursday morning, we took part in our sponsored run! It was exhausting but we gave it our all! We were amazing and all managed to run 10 or more laps of the MUGA! We have raised an incredible amount of money that will go towards our lovely diverse library collection next year! Here are some pictures from our run!

Update!

We had a lovely afternoon watching and supporting the Scotland football team today! The wifi was a bit unreliable and it meant we had to go between the iPad and smart board to watch the game at times. We were still in good spirits. 😃

We also sent home our amazing persuasive writing pieces today! Please enjoy our lovely persuasive letters and let us know if you are persuaded! We will be taking part in the sponsored run to raise money for our school library later on this week.

June!

Hello, have a look at what we have been up to this week in class.  For RE we went outside to take pictures of God’s beautiful creations. We also went to the park one afternoon last week and had lots of fun!

This week we have been learning about Money!

This week we have also been learning about beats, rhythm,  crotchets, quavers and rests! We have also been learning about body percussion.

This week we also received a letter and some fairy dust from the Ghillie Dhu! With help of some fairy dust, we created a Magic Garden within our imagination. We used our senses to share what we could see, hear, touch, taste and smell in our own garden. The next day, we wrote about our own magical worlds as part of our writing lesson this week!

In addition to this, for PE we have been developing our dance skills! We have been learning how dancing can always cheer you up and make your day! Here are some pictures from our rehearsals so far. We even managed to rehearse outside today in the sun!

End of The Week!

This week we were learning about texture. We took oil pastels outside and traced natural materials. We had lots of fun!

This week we were also learning about story maps! We retold the story of “The Gingerbread Man”. Have a look at our fantastic writing.

P2 will also be taking part in a sponsored run to raise money for our school library. Sponsor sheets have been sent home and we would appreciate them being back by mid June. Thank you very much in advance.

RERC art

p2 created symbols of peace after learning about the sign of Peace in Church. We used our handprints as wings because people shake hands in Church.

We also created images of Mary as May is the month of Mary.

24.05.21

Hello! We have been so busy in class.

Yesterday we learned about right angles. We went on a right angle hunt around the school and found so many using our right angle checkers! We also found lots of angles on our desks! We worked very well using our detective skills to find the right angles.

We also finished our time topic this morning. We are digital time experts! Please keep challenging us to have a go at reading and telling the time on analogue and digital clocks at home.

For literacy this week we have been revising the sound “oi”. This morning  we were also learning how to use a dictionary!

Here are some pictures from our PE on Monday. We have been learning foot skills and have been working in teams to play some football games.

21.05.21 Update

This morning we  took our learning outside and went on a 2D and 3D shape hunt around the school! We recorded the shapes using tally marks as part of our Data Handling topic.

This week we have also been learning to tell the time to half past on a digital clock!

This week we enjoyed taking part in Eco Drama! We learned about the importance of recycling and went on a magic adventure. We heard a story about Ghillie Dhu and made a new home for him in the Sensory Garden. We hope he will visit the school again soon!

As part of our Plants topic, we also planted some seeds! In a few months we will have courgettes and salad leaves!

We also got to meet the St. Albert’s ducks!
