Happy Thursday everyone.
One of my favourite things about our classroom was our lovely plants and caring for them was part of our class routine.
Over the next few weeks if you would like one of our class plants to care for at home please let me know and I will arrange for one to be dropped off with you to be returned when we return to normal again.
This would be a lovely way to stay connected to the school environment, just let me know if you’d like to take part in this.
See below for Mrs Pattie’s time lapse video of what happens when she waters her plants… it’s really interesting.

1-1.30 pm: Fine Motor Skills
One of the really important aspects of our daily school life is play. These play based experiences help us make sense of the world around us and also assist in our development of fine and gross motor skills which impacts on our cognitive activity and even our pencil grip etc.
I have attached a suggested activity you could try at home to help develop these skills.
Try placing buttons, sweeties or smarties on top of all the holes on the rainbow. If you’d rather not download and print you could cut holes out of any paper or picture and do the same thing.
1.30-2.30pm: Art
Follow along with Miss Milne making germ monsters in her kitchen. All you’ll need is some paint, water, paper and straws. Remember to send any photographs you have of art work created at home, I always love to see what you get up to.

2:30-3pm: Story and chat
At the end of each day, we will send you stories to listen to/read. Some of these will be read by your lovely St. Albert’s teachers, others might be by famous authors. To get ready for the story:
- Get a snack and a drink
- Get somewhere comfy – on cushions/sofa/bed, under a blanket
- Get one of your parents or a brother/sister to listen with you
Here are today’s stories:
Follow along with Miss Kinloch who makes a story map of the story ‘Stone Soup’. Thank you for this Miss Kinloch!
