B-b-b-brilliant bowling trip!

Last Monday, we went along to the Hollywood Bowls at Springfield Quay for our class’ leavers trip. We played bowling (thank goodness we all survived, Ammaar Rana’s throwing technique could have knocked any unlucky person out lol), went to the arcade and enjoyed some delicious lunch. Here’s a few snaps of us in action!

Unpathed Waters, Undreamed Shores – Social Enterprise Stall

On Tuesday 23rd, some of us set up a Social Enterprise stall outside the performance at the Tramway Theatre of Unpathed Waters, Undreamed Shores. This show featured many Syrian families from St. Albert’s, and talked about why they can now call Pollokshields home.

We made some gorgeous Glasgow canvas tiles, postcards which merged the Syrian flag and Glasgow’s skyline, and spice medleys to sell at the event. We made a considerable profit, which will go towards The Unity Clinic in Glasgow – a space which gives practical support and solidarity to all asylum seekers and other migrants in Scotland. We also had the chance to discuss our contribution to the Turner Prize Art Awards in 2016, and showcased one of our installations.

Well done to all involved, it was a great success and amazing to hear you talking about the importance of empathy and moral conscience!
