Leaver’s Mass at St Andrew’s Cathedral

Last Friday we attended a beautiful mass at St Andrew’s Cathedral.  The service was for Primary Sevens from across Glasgow who are moving onwards and upwards to secondary school this summer.  We were blessed with a sunny day to walk to the train and through town.  Our very own Shubbe gave a very confident and articulate reading; no small feat in front of hundreds of people!  We were very proud of her.

At the mass, Archbishop Tartaglia made everyone feel welcome and relaxed.  He gave all of the children a gift of a Miraculous Medal of our Lady of Fatima.  As an extra bonus, the children were delighted to catch a glimpse of Mr Church! It was a lovely morning and one we hope the children will look back on fondly.
