Here are some of the things we have been doing this month in Primary 5:

  • Ballet performance with the Barrowland Ballet – look at our video
  • Sang a Gaelic song ‘Side Fuar’ for our Burns Assembly
  • We created silhouette pictures based on The Worst Witch
  • Started our new topic Scottish Clans and Castles to learn more about history
  • We had a judo taster session
  • We are reading The Worst Witch by Jill Murphy
  • We are learning to take notes
  • We have created a class charter from the Children’s Rights
  • We are learning about angles and their names e.g. right angle, obtuse angle, acute angle, reflex and straight lines
  • Changing fractions into decimals
  • Learning about stretching in gymnastics
  • Learning about our self-esteem and how to make other people think nice thoughts about themselves
  • Chinese New Year
  • Describing settings using adjectives, similes and synonyms

We have a second teacher in class with us called Miss McCue too – aren’t we lucky!
