School Photos next week
At the request of Parent Council, we are trying a new photographer this year – Ian Mitchell. Mr Mitchell brings a mobile studio to the school and the children have their photo taken in that. As long as you have given permission for photos, your children will have their photo taken at school. There is no obligation to buy. If you want to opt your child out, please contact the school office. The photos cannot all be taken on one day, so please send your child to school photo ready on these days!
Tuesday 23rd: P1, P1/2 and P2/3 individuals
Wednesday 24th: P4/5, P5, P7 individuals
Thursday 25th: Nursery, P3/4 and P6 individuals
Friday 26th: Siblings
Unfortunately I have not been able to make an arrangement with Mr Mitchell for younger siblings or siblings not attending our school to be included.
Pupil Council
I am excited to be able to tell you that we have reinstated the Pupil Council at Wormit PS. All classes have two representatives who will share their classes ideas for change and improvement at the meetings which are being facilitated by Miss Smith.
Volunteers Needed
We are keen to set up Bikeability opportunities for our older child to teach road safety to pupils who can ride a bike. To do this we need volunteers to be trained to help deliver sessions.
We are also looking for volunteers to support the delivery of out of school clubs – particularly Running and Netball – though we are interested to hear from parents with other interests.
If you are interested in volunteering, please contact jamie.rose@fife.gov.uk
Food Bank
We will be making a harvest donation to the food bank at the service at the end of term. Please send donations in during the week beginning 6th October. Packaged or tinned foods or toiletries make suitable donations. Many thanks.

Parent Council Meeting
All parents of the school and nursery are invited to a Parent Council meeting, which will take place on Thursday, 25th September at 6:00pm in the school hall. Parent Council do great work for the school and they are getting ready to organise the after school Halloween parties. These are always great events but can only run if enough parents can volunteer to help. Please do come along to the meeting if you can – its a good opportunity to get more involved with the life of the school.
