November Update
Literacy
The children continue to learn individual sounds and are beginning to investigate CVC words. They are now familiar with the characters from our reading scheme and recognise their names and some key words. They are enjoying using these to construct some simple sentences and talk about capital letters, spaces and full stops.
Numeracy
The children are presently learning about time. We have been talking about days, months and seasons. They have also been learning about o’ clock times on a digital and analogue clock. The children have also begun to learn number stories and use the written method to record number sentences on a whiteboard.
