Fife Education is committed to answering the Scottish Government Call to Action for all 3-18 places of education to become Sustainable Learning Settings by 2030 as outlined in the refreshed LfS Action Plan 23-30.
At the heart of Learning for Sustainability (LfS) is learning for a better world – one which is greener, fairer, more equal and more peaceful, and where rights are respected. LfS integrates sustainable development education, outdoor learning, and global citizenship.
In Scotland, Learning for Sustainability is an entitlement for all learners. As such, all practitioners (GTCS, CLDSC, SSSC) must demonstrate Learning for Sustainability in their practice. To support our practitioners in Fife, we have defined the expectations of the entitlement for our learners.
