Purpose:
Supports Principal Teachers of Curriculum (PTCs) in secondary schools to develop the knowledge, skills, and understanding needed for senior leadership.
Target Audience:
PTCs aiming to lead departments/faculties and improve outcomes for young people.
Programme Duration:
Runs from May 2026 to June 2027.
Structure:
- Designed for up to 20 selected participants (based on criteria outlined on page 3).
- Includes 1 online session and 6 in-person sessions.
- Majority of learning is school-based, aligned with each school’s systems and processes.
Learning Approach:
- Activity-focused design.
- Encourages strategic understanding of the PTC role.
- Promotes outward-looking reflection and peer learning.
