This week we have been writing a Diary Entry, imagining that we were William from our class novel, The Christmasaurus. We had to include his thoughts and feelings, plus connectives, openers and descriptive language. In Literacy, we used a thesaurus to find more interesting verbs that we can use instead of verbs like walk, run, say and laugh. We tried to use some of these in our writing along with adjectives and onomatopoeia.

We have finished our presentations for our individual presentations on either PowerPoint or KeyNote. We have written a record card with notes for our presentation so that we can try and look up at our audience when we’re speaking.

In Numeracy, we have been doing mini assessments. We have done Christmas yoga because the hall is being used for Christmas parties. We have made a beautiful Christmas card with trees of different sizes showing near, middle and far. We finished our rotation of Outdoor Learning activities and had Committees. Today we very much enjoyed the P1 Nativity too! Well done, everyone.
