Our teacher is Mrs Beck.

We have 33 pupils in our class.

Miss Roy will take the class for PE on a Monday from 11:55 – 12:30. Please come to school in your PE kit every Monday. PE lessons take place both indoors and outdoors so please remember to dress appropriately for the weather.

Reading – See reading record for details of this. Complete the job ‘Story Connector’ after reading the pages that have been set this week.

Spelling – We are taking a break from spelling homework this week.

Numeracy – This term we have had a large focus on the following topics;

• Place Value
• Sequencing Numbers
• Rounding
• Addition Strategies (Partitioning and column method)
• Subtraction Strategies (Column method and number line partitioning)

Choose one of the above topics and create a poster to show what you have learned. Ensure to include any rules, for e.g. for rounding 1-4 we round down and for 5-9 we round up, and show some examples of the topic you have chosen.

 

PREPARATION FOR THE YEAR AHEAD…

Please bring in an old over-sized t-shirt/shirt to use as a painting apron. Write your name inside the shirt using felt pen.

Plea for help! If you have any board games or jigsaws that you no longer need/use, but they are still in good condition, it would be great if you’d consider donating them to our ‘Wet Weather Games’ box instead of the charity shop. Many thanks for your support.
