Welcome to P4a!
Our class teachers are Mrs Dickson (Monday -Wednesday) and Mrs Murray (Thursday -Friday). We have 31 pupils.
Our PE day is Tuesday so please wear your PE kit to school each Tuesday. Sometimes this may be outside so remember a long sleeved top for when the weather is not so warm.
This term our Topic is based around Forces and Theme Parks. We are currently progressing our knowledge of Place Value in Numeracy and will soon be moving onto addition. We have been conducting lots of research in ICT and have been enjoying showing off our ball skills through Mat ball and Dodgeball in PE.
We’ll be building models later in the term and using some recycled materials. If you have any unwanted cardboard tubes (kitchen roll, packaging) please bring them in!
Our reading and any homework will be issued each Wednesday. Please could it be handed in for the following Monday, with reading records signed.
Homework for week beginning the 22nd September –
As a school we are working towards our Rights Respecting Schools Silver award. We are currently learning about the ABCDE of Rights with a focus on A (Rights are for ALL children). In class we have been building upon our class charter and have been talking about the importance of us all working together. We have started to learn about differences and how we are all unique.
As homework you are being asked to design a personal flag. This flag will represent you. Think about your personal qualities and the things that make you YOU! Also think about things that you like and enjoy. Your flag will be used to create a school display of togetherness.
