Positive Behaviour at Lochgelly West
At Lochgelly West, we believe that positive relationships are at the heart of everything we do. Our Positive Behaviour Policy is built around our school values of Caring, Ambitious, Respectful Learners (CARL) and supports every child to feel safe, valued and ready to learn.
We take a relational and nurturing approach, recognising that behaviour is a form of communication. Through clear expectations, consistent routines, positive recognition and restorative conversations, we help children understand their choices, develop self-regulation and build respectful relationships.
Our focus is not simply on managing behaviour, but on teaching children the skills they need to make positive choices, repair relationships and succeed — helping every Wee Westie to Shine Bright. ❤️🖤
