Kirkton of Largo Primary School

Parents and Carers

At Kirkton of Largo Primary School, we are committed to partnership with parents. We have an active Parent Council. All parents of the school are full members and can raise items for the agenda and attend meetings. There are many opportunities for parents to get involved in the life of the school on an occasional or regular basis.

At the start of the academic year, we hold a ‘meet the teacher’ session which allows you to come into school to meet your child’s teacher and learn about class routines. We hold parent/teacher interviews in October and March for you to discuss your child’s progress.

Throughout the year, we create opportunities for parents to come into school to learn about school improvements. In term 3 there are opportunities for P7 parents to come in to discuss their child’s transition to S1 and in term 4 there are opportunities for pre-school parents to come into school to learn about their child’s transition into P1.

Although we do not have our own nursery, we have a well regarded Nursery to P1 transition programme. Children from various nurseries join in with this programme. Please phone the school office and make an appointment to meet with the headteacher to discuss arrangements, if you have not been contacted already.
