To all pupils who wrote to Huw Watkins MBE! He has sent a card to you all (Mrs Duckett)
Thank you so much for sending me all the work you’ve been doing on my music. It’s been amazing reading all that you’ve written about it – your responses have been so perceptive, sometimes surprising, and have made me think about the music I write in a completely new and fresh way. I hope you’ll all keep listening with such open ears to as wide a range of music as you can find – you never know what you might end up loving! Thank you all again! Huw”  Pop down to E10 to see his card! Well done everyone involved.

Celebrate Scotland (The Equalities Group)
This month we are… Celebrating Scotland! Please greet everyone – staff and other young people – with the word “Hiya” for the rest of this month! Let’s get into the Scottish spirit! Did you know: Scotland has 790 islands! That’s one island for every two young people in the school!

Article 27: Healthy Food – Free Food (Mrs Young)
Free Food: We are trying to reduce food waste therefore can you please come along to D2 at the end of each day to make use of the free food that is available. This will include food that has been cooked in home economics as well as fresh food that needs to be used up. This will be available every day on a first come first served basis and will help make sure food does not get binned which is good for us and the environment! There is usually even more excess on a Friday so get down ASAP! Thanks, Rights Respecting Schools Group

Right of the Fortnight (Mrs Young)
Article 23 – Children with Disabilities: One of the ways we meet this in KHS is by having extra facilities such as lifts, ski pads for fire alarms and a range of inclusive adaptations across the school.
