THURSDAY 02 JULY

Hot Meal:  Soup of the day, Roast Chicken in Gravy with Yorkshire Pudding and Oven Roasted Herby Diced Potatoes, Roast Quorn Fillet in Gravy with Herby Diced Potatoes, Fish Fingers or Scottish Breaded Haddock served with Chips. Chicken Fries at breaktime.

Dress Down Day (Mrs Steedman)
The charity that we are going to be collecting for this term is called Mary’s Meals, this is an incredible charity that focus on feeding hungry children. They feed over 3 million children every day in over 16 countries. The S4 Early Learning and Childcare classes have been doing work to gain the schools bronze award with this charity so the money raised from the dress down day will be donated to them. If you want more information about this charity have a look at the posters around the school that the classes have made. Please can you bring £1 or whatever you can afford to help this amazing cause. Your period 1 teacher will collect the money from you.

Battlefields Trip 2027 – New S3 only (Mr Harrower)
After the success of this year’s trip, we are looking to organise another Battlefields Trip to Belgium and France in May 2027. If you are interested, you should collect a letter from Mr Harrower in PE or Mrs Harrower in C2 and return it as soon as possible. If you would like to find out more about the trip, please come and speak to one of us at any time.

S3 Artwork (Miss Crichton)
If current S3 pupils would like their artwork from S2, can they please come and collect it from their S2 art teacher before the holidays. Deadline for this is Friday 3rd July.

Fact:   This goal aims to encourage Governments and people to reduce the damage caused by climate change which poses a huge threat to humans and animals. The average number of people exposed to heatwaves has increased by approximately 125 million since the beginning of the century.

School Nurse Service (School Nursing Team)
The school nurse service runs in Meeting Room 1 every Thursday at break time. You can see them for all issues health related. Please use the QR code below to request an appointment.

Chemistry Study Support (KHS Chemistry Team)
Are you baffled by bonding, addled by atoms, or flummoxed by formulae? If so, Chemistry Study Support is available Thursday after school in A4/A5/A6. Bring all your problems to the lab bench. You could even use it as a quiet space to get some homework done. Everyone is welcome!

Japanese Club (Mr Stewart)
Come and join us in C9 after school for Japanese Club.

Drama Club (Mr McPherson)
Drama club every Thursday after school in Mr McPherson’s Drama Studio 15:30 to 16:25.

Gardening Club (Thursday Lunchtimes) Ms Brown🍀
All pupils who would like to be involved with the school garden are welcome.
Meet at the Serenity garden on fair days; or C11, if its bad weather🍃

Netball (Mrs Poynter)
Netball training is on a Thursday lunch time for S1 – S4. Anyone is welcome to come along. Please make sure you finish your lunch before coming down.

Hot Meal:  Soup of the day, Beef Chilli or Veg Chilli served with Rice or Pasta and Chicken Fries all served at breaktime.
