KHS World Cup Tournament (Mrs Steedman)
Reminder to put your teams in for the tournament starting next Tuesday and Thursday. Scan the QR code around the school to enter your team of 8. Teams will be put up on the notice board in PE with your allocated country. There will be a junior and senior tournament running.

The Scholastic Book Fair is returning to KHS! (Mr Wadsworth)
From Wednesday 3rd – Friday 12th of June, you can find a selection of genres and trending titles at great prices!
The Book Fair will be held in B23 with Mr Wadsworth each breaktime, so pop by to pick up your next adventure!
Sports Day (Mrs Poynter)
The pupils that have qualified for Sports Day will be displayed on the P.E notice board, well done to those who have qualified! If you do not want take part in Sports Day please let a member of the P.E department know ASAP. Sports Day will take place on Friday the 12th of June, there will be more information to follow.
Quadcopter Challenge S2 (Miss Barclay)
Raytheon have sent us the 2026 Quadcopter handbook and we have been given our first deadline of 11th June. All Quadcopter teams should meet in Miss Barclay’s room (maths B4) at lunchtimes to begin designing our quadcopters and to come up with a schedule of work.

Usurp
Definition: To usurp something (such as power) is to take and keep it by force and without the right to do so. Usurp can also mean “to take the place of by or as if by force.”
Example: Some people have accused city council members of trying to usurp the mayor’s power.

Fact: ¼ of the people across the world still do not have access to clean water. This can lead to death by dehydration or through illnesses caught by drinking unclean water.
