Rory G. (S5) and his band Echoskull triumphed at the recent final of the Young Team Battle of the Bands, at the Windsor Hotel in Kirkcaldy. Rory and his bandmates saw off hot competition from the six other finalists, drawn from three separate heats in the last few weeks, and were judged overall winners!

Part of the prize was an opening slot at the Silverburn Festival in June, which will put the band in front of their biggest audience yet. One of the judges, Letty Rock, interviewed Rory live on her Rock Show on K107 FM a few days later and she will be at the Silverburn Festival to cheer the boys on when they open on Saturday 20 June!
