Eid Party (Dr Murray/Miss Collins/Miss Akers)
The KHS annual Eid party will be on Thursday (3rd April) at 1:05pm in A11 (big Home Ec. Room). All (pupils and staff) are welcome. There will be fabulous food, a photo booth, and lots of fun to be had. First come first served! عِيد مُبَارَك Eid Mubarak!

Instruments (Mrs Duckett)
Please could all instruments be collected from Instrument Drop Off by the end of the week. No instruments should be left in there over the Easter holidays.
S1-S2 Quadcopter Challenge (Miss Barclay)
The Quadcopter Challenge is a STEM-based engineering challenge for S1 and S2 students across the country to build an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV). Teams will review a standard Quadcopter model with the challenge to design changes to the Quadcopter in line with this year’s theme. Teams are encouraged to think creatively to improve the Quadcopter and analyse any key issues. Each team is guided through the challenge as they develop critical skills in: Engineering / Design, Team Working, Project Management, Presentation Skills / Public Speaking, and Budgeting. A ‘Quadcopter Club’ will run weekly, for 2 hours after school, and the team will have 4-5 students. A teacher with a technical background will support you. Register your interest with Miss Barclay in the Maths department before Thursday 3 April to be part of the team.

Article 27: Healthy Food – Free Food (Mrs Young)
Free Food: We are trying to reduce food waste therefore can you please come along to D2 at the end of each day to make use of the free food that is available. This will include food that has been cooked in home economics as well as fresh food that needs to be used up. This will be available every day on a first come first served basis and will help make sure food does not get binned which is good for us and the environment! Rights Respecting Schools Group and Ambassadors (Miss Young)
Can all existing members and anyone keen to join come along to B14 and anyone who expressed interest in being an ambassador. The meeting will be about new projects coming up this year as well as discussing membership, badges and choice of meeting days (feel free to bring lunch).
Calm Colouring Club (Ms Geddes)
If you are looking for a quiet space to enjoy your lunch and do a bit of colouring, then head along to A3 from 1:10pm every Monday lunchtime.

Every Monday lunchtime the Fitness Suite will be open to all pupils S1-S6. Grab a quick lunch and come down to use the equipment, you can do whatever workout you like, some cardio or some weights, entirely up to you!

LGBT+ Group (Dr Murray) 🏳️⚧️
The LGBT+ Group meets on Tuesday lunchtime in A4 (Dr Murray’s room in Science). It is a social space open to EVERYONE whether you are Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, any other identity, or an ally of the community. See Dr Murray for a pass if you want to come. Bring your lunch!
Enterprising Maths Club (Mr Jones & Ms Barclay)
Are you a maths whiz looking for a club where you can really challenge yourself? Join our Enterprising Maths Club and tackle mind-bending problems with other students. There’s even a chance to represent the school in maths competitions, so get involved! Come to B4 every Tuesday lunchtime.

Chemistry Study Support (Chemistry Teachers)
If you need help with any aspect of Chemistry or S1-S2 Science, at any level then Chemistry Study Support is the place to get it. One of your happy, smiling chemistry teachers will be available Tuesday 3:30-4:30pm in either of A4, A5, or A6 for all your questions, queries and conundrums. You could also simply use this as a quiet place to study, or even get that homework task completed that you’ve been putting off since the dawn of time. All welcome!
