The S1 boys Football team travelled north for the delayed Scottish Plate match against Inverurie Academy on Thursday.

The match started fairly evenly with chances at both ends. KHS broke the deadline with a sweeping move finished off by Layke H. Shortly after, there were chances to extend the lead but unfortunately this lead to 2 quick goals for Inverurie to give them a narrow 2-1 lead at half time.

The game seemed to be beyond KHS after losing a further 2 goals at the start of the 2nd half but a combination of hard work and determination meant that they narrow the score to 4-3 after goals by Layke H. and Stewart W. KHS pushed for an equaliser but time ran out and the score remained 4-3 to Inverurie at full time. A great effort and all boys did the school proud with how they conducted themselves.
