Kirkcaldy High School

Respect for Self, Others, and Learning

Army June Challenge

14 S4 and S5 pupils went to Leuchars Station for the Army June Challenge. They really outdid themselves, getting stuck into all of the leadership, teambuilding, and problem-solving activities they had thrown at them by the soldiers such as:

  • Minefield navigation
  • Building an infantry assault bridge
  • Range finding targets

KHS was one of only 2 Fife schools to participate, and we were easily the biggest group present!

Both the soldiers and officers in attendance remarked on how impressed they were with our pupils. Particular standouts were:

  • Dylan M.,
  • Ethan F.,
  • Jack L.,
  • James C.,
  • Seanine K.

The pupils got a lot out of it. Some even expressed an interest in signing up (one day)!  Well done to everyone!
