We were proud to be awarded Kitbag Accreditation in June 2024, becoming the 8th school in Fife to achieve this recognition. We were successfully reaccredited in June 2026, reflecting our continued commitment to nurturing approaches and the positive
impact they have across our school community.
At our school, we use Kitbag with whole classes, small groups and individual pupils to create safe and supportive opportunities for children to talk, listen and reflect.
Through regular Kitbag sessions, pupils are encouraged to express their thoughts and feelings, develop empathy, build resilience and strengthen relationships with others.
As part of our commitment to supporting children and families, we also offer a Mini Kitbag Loan Service. Families can borrow a Mini Kitbag to use at home, providing a simple and meaningful way to check in with one another, share feelings and
strengthen family connections. The Mini Kitbag contains key elements of the Kitbag approach in a portable format, making it accessible for use beyond the school setting.
By embedding the Kitbag approach across our school community, we are helping to create a culture where every child feels listened to, valued and supported to thrive emotionally, socially and academically.
