PEP

Primary Enhanced Provision
This academic session (25/26) we opened a new Primary Enhanced Provision (PEP) at Dalgety Bay Primary School. Our ‘Blue Room’ supports a smaller group of learners with complex additional support needs providing a nurturing and inclusive environment for them to thrive. We have a skilled and dedicated team working within our Enhanced Provision including a classroom teacher, two pupil support assistants and a Principal teacher.
Our curriculum focuses on meeting the holistic needs of the child with a focus on sensory experiences, life-skills, communication and wellbeing in addition to formal curricular areas. Learning experiences and target setting are bespoke to our individual learners.
Our environment offers developmentally appropriate play experiences that encourage communication. We use a range of communication tools within our classroom, sensory spaces and outdoor area to support learning.
We work in partnership with mainstream Primary Schools with many of our pupils attending split placements between two schools. Other professional services such as Educational Psychology, Speech and Language Therapy and the Neuroinclusive Support Team work with us to support our learners.
Families receive regular communication from the team about their child and their progress in school.
There is a formal process of application for a placement within a Primary Enhanced Provision across Fife. For more information please contact your child’s Headteacher of their mainstream school/nursery.
