This session we are working through action planning created after inspection by Education Scotland in October 2022.

Our priorities are:

• Evaluation and improvement planning across the school and nursery.
• Improvements in learning, teaching and assessment.
• Improvements in procedures and processes to support learners.
• Evaluate and improve learners experiences, progress and attainment.

For our nursery, priorities are:

• Focus on roles and responsibilities to ensure distributed leadership across the setting.
• Audit resources and areas within the nursery environment to ensure standards.
• Professional learning around nurturing approaches to ensure wellbeing needs are met.
• Outside environment improvements.

So far (November 2023) we have worked on the following areas to support improving outcomes for all learners:

• Professional learning and reflection to support learning, teaching and assessment.
• Refresh of vision, values and aims.
• Development of Quality Assurance Calendars.
• Review of Behaviour and Relationships.
• Review of tracking and monitoring approaches, including support for learner approaches.
• Review of inclusive learning environments and nurturing approaches.
