Cost of Living
The cost of living is increasing in Scotland and elsewhere in the UK. There is help available for families and individuals from Fife Council and other sources. This support is not just for people who are out of work but also for families and individuals who are working.
All children in P1-5 get a free lunch but if you are on a low income you can apply for Free School Meals meaning your child gets free milk, a clothing grant and you receive payments over holidays as well. For more, and to find out if you qualify, visit www.fife.gov.uk/schoolbenefits

The Best Start payments are part of the 5 family payments you may be able to get from Social Security Scotland, along with Scottish Child Payment.

- Scottish Welfare Fund provides a safety net for vulnerable people on low incomes by providing Community Care Grants and Crisis Grants: 0300 555 0265 (Mon-Fri 9-2:30)
