We have been working to expand our school uniform exchange and have received donations from the Co-Op, Tesco and the Parent Council to help us with this. There are two reasons that we feel it is important to have a good uniform exchange that all families can (and hopefully will) access:
- It allows good quality items of clothing to be recycled and saves them going to landfill, thus helping us do our bit for the environment
- It is a way of families accessing school uniform items at a very low cost. There is a suggested donation of £1 per item or you can swap any preloved uniform your child has outgrown for items in a bigger size from the exchange
We now have a range of jumpers, skirts, trousers, gym shoes, polo shirts in school – some of this is new, other items are preloved and in good condition. There are some photos of our exchange below and a list of our current stock:
