Applying for a Nursery place 26/27

The cut off dates are as follows:

Session 2026/27

• Starting in August 2026: Your child must be three on/before 31 August 2026
• Starting in January 2027: Your child must be three before 31 December 2026
• Starting in April 2027: Your child must be three before the last day of February 2027

Please find information here. Note that applications for 26/27 closed at the end of January. Any further applications will be treated as late and places will be allocated in May 26 if possible.

Transition

At Blairhall Nursery we have a comprehensive transition programme to support you and your child at this important time.

Prior to them starting, you and your child will be invited to three nursery visits as well as receiving information and enrolment forms. During one of the meeting you will be invited to a short informal meeting with the nursery teacher to discuss the nursery routines and ask any questions.

The dates for these meetings will be sent to you as soon as possible and will fall towards the end of the term preceding your child’s start date.

After starting nursery, the nursery team will arrange a short meeting with you to discuss how your child is settling.
