Welcome To Our School

Welcome to our school

At Blairhall Primary school we have BASE, which is our core values. It stands for Brave, Achieving, Supportive and Equity. BASE also reminds us that our vision is: Blairhall Achieving Success Every day. We are inclusive and respectful to everyone’s unique differences and abilities.

We are a silver rights respecting school.  This means  children have rights for example to play, be safe, to learn and be heard. Every class has a class charter to make sure that all children’s rights are respected. We learn about our rights in our classes, and in Assembly. Our Assembly certificates show which values and which rights we are showing.

We encourage pupils to make right choices and to build independence. We also encourage good manners towards other people.

We share our learning through open doors, end of term Assemblies and our digital learning journals.

Blairhall School was opened in 1925. It was originally the Secondary School but later became a Primary school. Children from Blairhall and Comrie come to our school.

The school uses two classrooms in the main building, and one in the hut beside the Nursery classroom.

We also have a kitchen, dinner hall, a cooking hub/room and a gym hall which was built in 2006. The library is in a separate hut.

We have a large playground with both grass and tarmac areas. This year we are working on leaving a legacy behind in the playgrounds for future pupils. There will be a sensory path, activities for the shelters and beautiful reading areas around the school. We are doing this because the children said that the playground is dull, boring and there is not much to do. When we make the front playground better, our community can use it too. We want plants, seating and obstacle courses. People in our local community are helping us to raise money and are also helping with the work in the playground too.
