Welcome to our school
Blairhall School was opened in 1925 originally as a Secondary School but later became a Primary serving the ex-mining village of Blairhall and part of the village of Comrie.
The school has six classrooms, two of which are housed in hutted accommodation alongside the nursery.
Our school building also has a kitchen, dining room, resource hall and a gymhall which was built in 2006.
There is a large playground comprising both grass and tarmac areas. Over the past few years garden plots, seating and games have been developed within the playground area. We have also been involved in the ‘Grounds for Learning’ project which has led to the development of our outside space.
Our school overlooks a large grass field which is used for sporting activities.
At our school we have several core values such as, we are inclusive and respectful to everyone’s unique differences and abilities. We also promote a family friendly environment.
We include families in our school to showcase our learning and do enterprises for our school needs and improvements.
We encourage pupils to make right choices and to be independent for solving their own problems. We also encourage good manners towards other pupils and staff.
Our curricular areas are, literacy, numeracy, expressive arts, ICT, Health and wellbeing and RME. We use all of these areas equally and effectively to make every day different and exciting. Overall, our school is the heart of Blairhall Village and special to everyone!
Our school is well supported by Parent Council. Staff, pupils and parents.
We are now sharing our learning and news on Twitter, please follow us @BlairhallPS.
