This week, we were delighted to welcome members of the Legion of Mary to speak with our Primary 5, 6 and 7 pupils about the Miraculous Medal. Pupils learned about the history and meaning of the medal and reflected on the importance of faith, prayer and living out Gospel values in everyday life. The visit provided a valuable opportunity for learners to deepen their understanding of Catholic traditions and engage in thoughtful discussion about their faith.
Primary 6 and 7 pupils also had the exciting opportunity to work with Sarah Gallacher to discuss the development of the new Scottish curriculum. During the session, pupils shared their thoughts, ideas and experiences about what learning should look like for children and young people in Scotland today.
The children’s contributions will help to inform and shape the future direction of the curriculum, ensuring that young people’s voices are at the heart of educational change. We are very proud of the thoughtful, respectful and enthusiastic way our pupils represented our school throughout both visits.
