Gorilla

Description: Gorillas are one of the most evolved animals of all time acting like humans with fantastic communication skills.

diet: Gorillas stick to a mainly vegetarian diet, feeding on stems, bamboo shoots and fruits. Western lowland gorillas, however, also have an appetite for termites and ants, and break open termite nests to eat the larvae.

habitat:Gorillas typically live in the lowland tropical rainforests of Central Africa, although some are found in montane rainforest (between 1,500 and 3,500 meters) and in bamboo forest (between 2,500 to 3,000 meters).

intresting fact: A gorillas life span is between 35 – 40 years

Tortoise

DESCRIPTION: Tortoise look quite similar to turtles but a major difference between the two is a tortoise doesn’t really like water and can’t actually swim that well but turtles live in water and are fantastic swimmers.

DIET: Tortoise have a simple but healthy diet consisting of plant base foods like kale and fruits such as berries, melon, kiwi and oranges

HABITAT: The habitat of a tortoise can be a variety of places but the most common is a grassy place with a lot of flowers and vegetation

INTERESTING FACT: A tortoise can live to 50 – 100 years old

Hippopotamus

DESCRIPTION: Hippocampus are large semi aquatic mammals with a large barrel shaped body short legs and a short tail.

DIET: They can consume 68kg (150lb) of grass each night.

YOUNG: The calf can weigh between 50 and 110 lbs (23kg – 50kg)

HABITAT: Their habitat is mostly in rivers , lakes and swamps.

INTRESTING FACT: Hippo’s are the second largest animal in the world
