2008 Olympics – Here!

Around two thousand primary seven pupils from across all Falkirk’s 49 primary schools hosted their own Olympic Games on Friday. it was a superb event!

Carronshore represented the Bahamas

This picture was taken as we waited for the buses to arrive to take us back to school.

The event finished with a wonderful cheerleading display. The girls practised the routine during the day. It was a magnificent performance. You can see some of the action in the short video clip below.

Too Much Excitement!

Some of us posted about our school visit from keith Jack. We were so excited that we forgot to give some important details 🙂

  • He’s not coming until next week

  • He’s going to sing a song (or maybe 2 songs)

  • The whole school are going to sing ‘WHY’ by Fischy Music

  • We’re going to perform our Alice in Wonderland production for him

  • And then we’ll do the exciting bit ……….

Yay Keith Jack is coming! We can’t wait!He is arriving later in the afternoon and we are interviewing him.Ohhh it’s so exciting!

Darcie,courtney,anna,rhiann and sophie.

weedarciew.png Darcie left a comment on the class blog to say how excited she is about our win! You can read it here, too. She wrote:

Choices for Life … WE WON!!!!

We went along to Choices for Life today. It was great! There was a fantastic prize to be won …… and that prize was for Keith Jack to come and perform at a school.

They picked a school name out of a hat. The tension was unbearable. Then they announced the winning school ….. and it was CARRONSHORE!!

Some of us went backstage to meet him. It was very exciting. He’s going to come to our school some time in June …. watch this space 🙂

Anna ….. and Anna's Mum!

  smiley

Anna put another fantastic post on to her blog recently … it even made her mum feel nice and ‘warmy’ 🙂

It’s a great post. She wrote:

‘What is sad?-

Sad is a type of emotion in wich people are really down all the time. I dont like people being sad because sometimes they are really nasty to you and make you feel guilty.

What to do if your sad?- Your Friends can help loads. They can make you feel really good inside and make you feel all warmy and nice.

What is Happy?-

Happy is an emotion which is opposite from sad and if  you are happy you smile all the time  and are just really full of energy and HAPPY!! D

How to be Happy?-

If you are a little bit on the sad side here are some tips on how to be happy.

  • Smiles make you miles better and you smilimg will make others smile.

  • Treat everyone like you would want to be treated.

  • Dont be nasty and just love everyone.’

What great advice! Thanks Anna … and you can read the comments on her post (including a lovely one from her mum!) on her blog. Just click HERE to take you there – maybe you’d like to leave a comment too 🙂

Nursery Video

For the teachers cpd we are brainstorming ways of how to use a class blog throughout the school. It was me, Sophie and Anna’s job to go to the nursery and make a video using photo story 3 of them. We took two children, Miriam and Ellie, and asked them what they liked to do. Watch the video to see their answers.
