At Sgoil Shiaboist we are very fortunate to have a wonderful group of over 60’s who meet regularly and take time out of their days to work alongside our pupils.

Gaelic Medium class Primary 5- Primary 7
GM 4-7 are taught by Mrs A Macleod.
Primary 1 – Primary 4 GL (Gaelic Learners)
This class is taught by Mrs Mackay & Ms Smith who share the week. Mrs Mackay works Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday morning, while Ms Smith takes the class for Wednesday afternoon, Thursday & Friday.
Primary 4 – Primary 7 GL (Gaelic Learners)
GL 5-7 are taught by Ms Burbage.
Primary 1 – Primary 3 GM (Gaelic Medium)
Mrs L Angus teaches the GM 1-3 class.

School Term dates & mid term holidays 2023-2024
Our school day
The Shawbost School day runs from 9am – 2.55pm. The children’s 1st break is from 10.30am – 10.45am. The lunches are staggered to alleviate the waiting time for the children. Please see the times below:
Older classes, GL 4-7 & GM 5-7 12.25pm – 1.05pm
Younger classes, GL 1-3 & GM 1-4 12.35pm – 1.15pm
The 1st bell for home will sound at 2.50pm and the 2nd at 2.55pm to indicate to the children that they are to line up in their appropriate home lines.
