The pupils and staff of Sgoil Shiaboist and Sgoil Araich Shiaboist were able to come into school dressed as their favourite character from their favourite book on March 7th; here are some of the wonderful costumes!
At Sgoil Shiaboist we are very fortunate to have a wonderful group of over 60’s who meet regularly and take time out of their days to work alongside our pupils.
Lots of our pupils, parents & staff took part in the local 5 & 10k in September 2023.
Our pupils all took part in “The Camels Arms” production for our Christmas concert in December 2023, which they enjoyed immensely! All their hard work paid off with their grand performance which took place on Thursday 14th December where they raised a staggering amount for school funds!
As part of the fundraising calendar the Parent Council have a sub committee consisting of parents who concentrate on raising funds for the children to benefit from experiences outwith the school environment.
One of the many fundraising events was the Community Clean-up which took place on a cold and wet Saturday in March!
The John Muir Trust is a Scottish charity, established in 1983 to conserve wild land and wild places for the benefit of all. The Trust runs an environmental award scheme, manages several estates, mainly in the Highlands and Islands of Scotland and campaigns for better protection of wild land. Our P7 children have been fortunate enough to be able to take part in this worthy cause for the last 3 years. Here are some pictures of them taking part in the initiative.
