Knitting Mania is a Voluntary Action East Renfrewshire (VAER) intergenerational initiative which matches older volunteers with a groups school children. Over six weeks, older volunteers teach pupils teach pupils the art of knitting whilst building relationships between the school, pupils and older volunteers within the community.
Our Advanced Higher Art and Design pupils are learning to knit, a skill that can be used in sections of their folio. Knitting is taking place every Tuesday and Thurday afterneen from 2pm until 4pm in Miss Halliday’s room. Needles at the ready!
