Young Composer 2018

Congratulations to L. Robertson, who has been awarded the title of Williamwood High School, 2018, Young Composer.

The competition was adjudicated by Matthew Whiteside, who commended Liam’s composition; Bloom, for being nicely paced with a subtle grit, and for having an interesting mix of electronic and live performances.

 

 

The runner up in the 2018 competition was Christopher Vettraino, who’s concisely written Oboe Concerto which contains “interesting and idiomatic ideas” impressed Matthew.
