Budding S1 Scientists meet on Wednesday lunchtimes in Sc11 from 12.30 pm to 1.00 pm. Any S1 pupil wishing to join is more than welcome to come along. See Miss Gilfillan (Science 11) for more information.
This popular club allows pupils to explore areas of Science not necessarily covered by the curriculum. A wide range of activities are offered, allowing the pupils to take responsibility for experiments and developing transferable skills. Examples of some of the activities offered are listed below:
- Making silly putty
- Designing, making and racing air machines
- Writing with fire
- Making and investigating different rock types
- Chromatography
- Team Challenges
