August-September 2014

We were delighted to welcome back our children in August and also to meet our new children. They have all settled in well and new friendships have been forged.

We have been so busy in the last few weeks and have started our Tuesday forest visits (thanks all parent/carer helpers SO much!). We are enjoying the opportunity to explore our local woodland and observe the creatures, plants and trees which live there. We enjoyed picking brambles in the woods and making apple and bramble crumble and bramble jam with them! Yum!

Our younger children got the train to Pollok Park to have a look at the Highland cows and their babies (calves!) and enjoyed collecting leaves and nuts along the way. Well done. It was a long walk!

On a sporting note we have enjoyed visits from Giffnock Tennis Club and are now having Mini Kicker sessions on Fridays.

We will be taking part in science workshops this week too! We really do provide a variety of experiences as I’m sure you’ll agree!

Dave and Popcorn have started their sleepovers again and if you don’t already know about this you soon will! Thank you for sharing so much fun with the bears.
