Sensory Processing

Understanding and supporting sensory processing in an education context

Movement Breaks

Movement Breaks are one of the best ways to support a child’s sensory processing needs and help them to engage:

  • just 2-3 minutes of movement can increase concentration for 15 -20 minutes and improves productivity
  • physical exercise releases endorphins and reduces stress hormones
  • regular short physical breaks have been found to improve behaviour
