ICAS Foundation

Financial and mentoring support available to eligible students starting a degree course in accounting or finance this autumn

The ICAS Foundation is a Scottish social mobility charity which supports undergraduate students studying accounting and finance related degrees at university. Since 2014, we’ve awarded over £2.3m in bursary funding and assisted more than 300 students across Scotland and the UK.

Applications are now open for our 2024 intake, including students starting university this Autumn. If you know of any student at your school who holds an offer to study accounting or finance (or joint degrees with either subject), please pass on the attached PDF flyer so they can apply for our support. (Students can apply for our programme while awaiting the outcome of their UCAS applications and while holding conditional offers to ensure their application is considered.)

Successful applicants to our programme receive:

  • Up to £2,500 per academic year in bursary funding.
  • A one-to-one mentor who works in the accountancy sector, who can offer support with personal and career development.
  • Support in applying for work experience, internships and post-university jobs.
  • Access to a range of relevant career development opportunities.

The closing date for applications is 31 May 2024.

Students with parental or household income below £34,000 are eligible to apply – full eligibility criteria, application forms and guidelines are available on our website at https://www.icasfoundation.org.uk/what-we-offer/icas-foundation-programme

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at enquiries@ICASFoundation.org.uk – we are happy to provide any further assistance you may require for your students.  Thank you in advance for your support.
