Primary 2c have been learning about volume and capacity.
We used vocabulary to describe how much liquid was in a container, such as: full, half full and empty.
First we filled containers with water using cupfuls and spoonfuls. We have also learned that the unit of measurement used to measure capacity is litres and millilitres.
We are learning to estimate and measure the length of objects using non-standard units of measurement. In class we have measured the length of table tops, trays, pencils and the computer keyboard.
We have used cubes, straws, sticks and paper clips.
