Primary 2b at Calderglen Park
P2c Dragon’s Den
This term Primary 2c are studying Enterprise as part of the Social Studies curriculum. We watched Junior Dragon’s Den in class and we were so impressed by other children’s imaginative business ideas that we wanted to set up our very own business enterprises!
In class we applied our Talking and Listening skills to pitch our business plans to our classmates. We have decided to set up an Art Exhibition and a Playtime Shop.

P2c Summer Paintings
Primary 2c took advantage of the great sunny weather by taking Art outside.
We looked at complimentary and contrasting colours to create beautiful flower paintings.
Look out for them on display at our upcoming Art Exhibition. (Dates in June still to be confirmed)
P2c Hopscotch Spelling
Today we learned our spelling words through play! We used chalk to make our own spelling word Hopscotch games and sound out each word as we jumped.
 
P2c Learning About Capacity
Primary 2c have been learning about volume and capacity.
We used vocabulary to describe how much liquid was in a container, such as: full, half full and empty.
First we filled containers with water using cupfuls and spoonfuls. We have also learned that the unit of measurement used to measure capacity  is litres and millilitres.
   
1980s Day in P2a
We got to dress up in 1980s clothes. We made popular food from 1980s including chees toasties, triangle sandwiches and hedgehog fruit kebabs.

P2b Achievements
Well done Grainne, you were so successful at the weekend winning a first, a fourth and eighth at Irish Dancing Feis!
